LESLIE CHARLESON
SOAP STAR GUIDE

When she's not busy doing hospital rounds as Monica, Charleson enjoys tending to her four-bedroom,
Georgian-style home in the Hollywood Hills, which is usually filled with her friends and numerous pets,
including her terrier, Feather. Charleson gave Digest a look to her beautiful abode, both inside adn out, and
proved that to her; home really is where the heart is.
"The outside of the house reminded me of
New England, and it had a charm that I was
immediately attracted to. It sits up high off
the street, on a corner lot,
which gives me a great view".
"My favourite room is the den,
or as I call it The Horse Room.
It's the first room you see when you enter the house,
and it is decorated with pictures of my horse, Andarra
There is a big picture window that
looks outside to the back yard.
It's great to sit in here on rainy days
and watch the rain through the window.
It has a fireplace,
which makes it warm and cozy;
I spend most of my
evenings in here.
I'll have friends over,
rent movies, light a fire and relax".
"The living room is one of the other things
that I loved about the house right away.
It's simple, clean and bright.
It's also large, so filing it was rather
daunting.
There was a place that was just screaming for a piano,
so, of course, I had to get one.
I may have to start taking lessons!
I have pictures on the piano
of those close to me
- my family, my friends and,
of course, my animals and their friends.
I had inherited some lovely artwork from my mother,
and what's
wonderful about this room is
that it provides a place to showcase it".
"I had the breakfast nook put in.
I use every day for informal
dining,
which is most of the time.
It's the meeting place where
everything goes on.
It's where I eat, read
the paper,
look at the mail or study my sript".
"I'm not a gardener per se,
but I've certainly learned a lot
about what grows and what doesn't.
I wanted an English garden feel,
which isn't always easy in this climate,
but when it comes together, it's beautiful".
"I love to swim, and the pool was one of the
big selling
points of this house.
It's nine feet deep,
and in the spring and summer,
I swim all the time.
I also enjoy just sitting by the pool and reading".
