In the role
of Anne Logan, GH's nimble nurse, Susan Pratt literally pops with
talent, sex appeal and pizazz. Anne is a strong, outspoken character and
Susan plays her with all the energy and intensity the part demands. She's a
"good girl," but a tough one, and fans love to watch the fireworks
displayed during her on-screen encounters with arch-enemy Heather Webber and
her hot-tempered scenes with the domineering Dr. Bradshaw. When Anne comes
on screen, viewers expect a scene that either snaps with emotion or crackles
with fire. And-thanks to Susan Pratt-they are never disappointed.
Susan launched her acting career (in TV commercials) at the tender
age of 16 and, when she was just 17, she took off for Paris, where she spent
an exciting year modeling for the top French and German high fashion
magazines.
When she returned to America, Susan attended the American
Academy of Dramatic Arts for a year and then headed for Hollywood. Success
came almost immediately when she landed the lead in a TV series for
children, Jason of Star Command. This led to guest starring roles in
Baretta, The Streets of San Francisco, Welcome Back, Kotter and other
TV series. Three years ago Susan joined the cast of General Hospital,
and she's been delighting GH fans with her stunning portrayal of Anne
Logan ever since.
Though Susan ended her marriage to George O'Hanlon
a year and a half ago, she's been keeping herself very busy with her
GH schedule and with her new boyfriend, Alfredo-a handsome, 6'4",
Italian. "He's all legs," Susan smiles, "and very, very sexy".
Susan and Alfredo, a remodeler of old houses, have been practically
inseparable for more than 8 months. "I even let him make decisions for
me," Susan says, "and it's hard for me to let a man take so much
control. But I trust Alfredo. He's very wise. I'm a very happy girl now,"
she adds. "My love life finally has some meaning for me". And so
does her career. By bringing the lusty and lovely Anne Logan to daily TV
life, Susan Pratt has secured her position in the hearts of GH lovers
everywhere-thereby securing her position in the ever-changing cast list as
well. Susan has happily signed another three-year contract with General
Hospital, admitting -with a beautifully dimpled smile -"It's the only
place to be!"
